AFTER A PACKED LAUNCH PARTY BEN WATT’S BUZZIN’ FLY RETURNS TO THE ARCHES NEAR LONDON BRIDGE ON FRI MAY 1
Ben Watt’s Buzzin’ Fly returns to its new London home, The Arches on Southwark St near London Bridge on May 1 for their second party of the year. Over a thousand rocked up to the launch in March at the revived three-room venue, packing out the atmospheric brick-vaulted spaces and revelling in the heavy sound of the spanking new Nexo Geo soundsystem.
For their second visit Ben Watt is set to drop another trademark set of deep house laced with afro-techno and hand-cut re-edits, and invites Stefan Goldmann to join him in the main room. From early killers on Classic Recordings such as ‘Missing Days’, through his acclaimed ‘Sleepy Hollow’ on Dixon’s Innervisions, to his recent output on Mule Electronic and his own Macro label, Goldmann remains a deadly sonic structuralist and DJ, forward-thinking yet comfortably versed in house and techno’s underground history. Buzzin’ Fly resident Chris Woodward joins the dots.
In the second room, Buzzin’ Fly welcomes a centrepiece set from the young Berlin luminary Sven Weisemann. Joining him will be London’s red-hot Allez-Allez with a basement party mix of modern electronic disco and skewed Kraut-techno.
Coordinated will be bringing their own strand of deep, underground house music to Room 3. This pair have built up quite a following on the London scene - whether hosting back rooms in some of the capital’s best venues or throwing riotous boat parties on the Thames, their nights are all about cutting edge music and an electric atmosphere.

Gig wise February will be spent mainly recovering from the colossal closing of The End last week with one exception - we will be coming out of hiding for a charity gig at The Star of Bethnal Green on the 20th feb, there are some great DJ’s playing and should be an excellent night.
March will see the launch of our new residency at a very exciting new venue in London, we will be playing a series of exclusive 6 hour sets alongside lots of very cool guests - more details to follow!
No, there’s not a chance you can make sense out of the name but when UK producer Alex Parsons met one of Australia’s most prolific DJs; Trent Anthony in 2005, their brains fused and ‘Agent Toga’ was created.
Their music was described as “something for the minimal wankers as well as the deep house sleepers”, by David Duriez who played their first track ‘16 Steps’ in every set before signing it to his phenomenal ‘Brique Rouge’ imprint. The EP, which Alex remixed in two parts received 5-star reviews and gained support from Tiga, Mylo, Yousef, Claude Vonstroke, Demi and Mazi naming just a few!
Shortly after, they followed this with Waterhouse, which shot to the top of Digweed and Cattaneo’s charts, gained worldwide radio play (including BBC) and received heavy support from the most respected names in the business. Satoshi Tomiie loved it so much he even gave it one of his most forward-thinking remixes ever!
